Driving Directions to the
Shoals
From Memphis, Tennessee (Approx: 150 miles):
From Memphis, travel East on I-40 to I-240. Travel South on I-240 to
U.S. Highway 72. Travel East on U.S. Highway 72 for approximately 135 miles.
This will come into U.S. Highway's 72 & 43 in Muscle Shoals/Tuscumbia. Turn left
on 43 (Hardees & Mack Truck dealership). Keep traveling on 43 (Woodward Avenue)
thru Muscle Shoals. 1st Red light will be 6th Street (KMart on corner). Next
red light will be Avalon Avenue (Southgate Mall on corner). Keep traveling straight.
Go thru one small red light. Next red light will be 2nd Street (184). Keep
going straight. Follow road to Florence, veer to right at Webster
Suites, cross O'Neal
Bridge. At the third red light, turn right onto Dr. Hicks Blvd. Dr. Hicks will
turn into Tennessee Street at the cemetery. Around 1/4-1/2 mile from red
light/cemetery, Royal Avenue exit will veer to right. At bottom of the exit,
turn left, follow signs to stadium.
From Nashville, Tennessee (Approx: 135 miles):
From Nashville, travel Southwest on I-40 to I-65.
Take I-65 South to U.S. Highway 72 (Athens, AL). Travel West on U.S. Highway 72 for
approximately 45 miles. This will bring you into Florence. U.S. Highway 72
turns into Florence Blvd at Cox Creek Parkway (KMart, Lowes on corner). Keep
traveling straight on Florence Blvd. Go approximately 4-5 miles. You will see
a Texaco and Jack's on the right. Go through red light at the Texaco. About 1/2-1mile,
follow Royal Avenue/Stadium exit. (exit is in the curve, if you make it to the next red
light, you have gone too far.)

From Chattanooga, Tennessee (Approx: 175 miles):
From Chattanooga, travel West on I-24 to U.S. Highway
72. Take Highway 72 West for approximately 110 miles. This will bring
you into Florence. From Florence, same as Nashville directions.

From Atlanta, Georgia (Approx: 260 miles):
From Atlanta, travel West on I-20 to
Birmingham. In Birmingham, take I-20 to I-65. Take I-65 North to Alabama
Highway 157 (University of North Alabama Highway). Take Highway 157 Northwest for
approximately 60 miles. This will bring you into U.S. Highway's 72 & 43 in
Muscle Shoals/Tuscumbia. At 72 & 43, (Hardees), turn right,
follow Memphis directions.
Alternate Route from Atlanta:
From Atlanta, travel West on I-20 to
Birmingham. In Birmingham, take I-20 to I-65. Take I-65 North to U.S.
Highway 72 (Athens, AL). Travel West on U.S. Highway 72 for approximately 45
miles. This will bring you into Florence. If you use this route, follow
Nashville & Chattanooga directions.

From Birmingham, Alabama (Approx: 120 miles):
Take I-65 North to Alabama Highway 157 (University of North
Alabama Highway). Take Highway 157 Northwest for approximately 60 miles.
This will bring you into U.S. Highway's 72 & 43 in Muscle
Shoals/Tuscumbia. Then same as Atlanta directions.
Alternate Route from Birmingham:
Take I-65 North to U.S. Highway 72 (Athens,
AL). Travel West on U.S. Highway 72 for approximately 45 miles. This
will bring you into Florence.
Then same as Memphis & Atlanta directions
