About SNCC
The Shoals National
Championship Committee holds the task each year of handling all
aspects of the championship game and acting as the liaison for the
NCAA.
The committee is
made up of a game coordinator, Judy Keenum, and numerous volunteers
who not only give their time and efforts during Championship Week,
but throughout the year.
Our committee meets
monthly, while are marketing committee usually starts meeting in
July or August on a weekly basis.
Each year the
committee is responsible for ticket sales, marketing of the game,
accommodations for the teams and various other aspects associated
with putting this game on. The goal of the committee, since
its inception in 1987, has been to provide the teams, players,
coaches and fans with an unforgettable week that they will never
forget, whether their team wins or loses. For the past 23
years, we have been able to accomplish that goal.
None of this would
be possible without the work of our many volunteers, the local
communities, and our sponsors.
